Analysis of 2 Magazine covers

Masthead; Strapline; Typography; Sub-headings; eye catching words like 'EXCLUSIVE!'; website makes it seen modern and barcode. The target audience would be women between the ages 20-40 as they would care about their figure and Alex and this kind of gossip.
'Our men prefer us curvy!' is in the middle and it is in big font because people will read it immediatly and instantly question themselves. They would want to open it, wandering what it is about. The strapline takes up about a third of the magazine cover it is so some attention is focused onto it also. Underneath 'Im giving up business for modelling' it says ' ...and boy did he make the right choice!' -  this adds a bit of humor to it and makes you want to open it and read about a man who gave up business for modelling as it isnt an everyday thing. Along the top it has another topic boxed out, and they have put in capitals and yellow 'ONLY' suggesting it is a one and only interview and you dont want to miss out so you should opent he magazine and read it. The pictures relate to the titles.
Masthead; sub-headings; Fashion magazine, medium close up shot; direct address. The target audience for this magazine would be aimed at 18-30 women as they care about their figure and weight controle.
Beyonce is in the middle because she is a role model to many people, she is staring directly at us (direct address). Her head is partly covering the masthead (VOGUE) this shows her importancy. The topics inside the magazine is plotted around her, it is all in the same font. 'SHAPE ISSUE' in capitals suggests people who don't like their body shape and underneath reads 'Fashion for Every Figure' this would make women open it hoping to find out about their sizes and how to reduce it.
