Picture samples for magazine cover :)

Everyone knows that 2pac is now dead and was a famous rapper who didnt always rap about sex, money and violence, but rapped about life, and many people loved him for this. You dont usually see black people on magazine covers, so I picked 2pac because since he died, no one has heard of anything to do with him, therefore people will be really interested to see what the magazine has to say about him. I picked this particular picture because everyone can recognise it's him and will instantly be surprised.

I chose this picture for the cover of my magazine because it relates to music and teenagers, and that is the main focus. I edited this picture a little bit to make it more attractive and eye catching. I did a focal zoom into her face and made the background black and white so all the attention is on her. I boosted the colours up so it attracts teens to the picture, I also added the heart with music notes in them so make it more obvious the magazine relates to music. The picture is of a blond teenager in an action shot, medium close-up of her listening to her iPod, flicking her head back and singing, this suggests she is loving her music, as her eyes are closed and looks like she is singing her heart out.

I also picked Eminem as he is a music idol to many people and everyone knows he is a rapper. It is a close -up of his face as people will immediately recognise him and walk up to the magazine and begin to read it. There isnt much news on Eminem therefore people would want to know more about him, and if the magazines continuously include gossip about Eminem, more people would want to buy it weekly, wanting to know the latest on him.
